The Marradong Earthworks and Concrete Structures venture is part of the BHP Billiton Worsley Alumnia’s Efficiency and Growth Project. The Boddington Bauxite Mine is located 123km south of Perth in Western Australia and is the closest town to the Worsley Alumina Bauxite Mine.
Marradong is located 15km south of Boddington with which the projects mining infrastructure involves the construction of a conveyor to transport bauxite from Marradong to Saddleback where it will join the 51km overland conveyor which currently transports bauxite from Boddington to the refinery. Survey Dynamics has been actively involved in detailed earthworks, drainage and tunnel construction including concrete structural set out and reinforced earth walls.
