The Albany Ring Road project involves the construction of a heavy haulage freight route of 11.5 km around the City of Albany for the transport of grain, fertilizer, woodchips and other goods to the Port of Albany in Western Australia. This includes an 11.5 kilometre two lane single carriageway, construction of grade separations including over road and rail, and construction of various service roads.

Construction commenced in September 2020, and will run through to 2023, with the contract to be completed in two phases. The first phase is for the construction of a new interchange at Albany Highway and Menang Drive; construction of the section of the Ring Road south to Lancaster Road; and design of Phase Two. The second phase of construction will extend the Albany Ring Road from Lancaster Road to Princess Royal Drive.
